My family somehow needs a break after a very hectic first half to the year.
It was a tiring three months as I found myself promoted in a new sales managerial position at Macy's departmental store. It was a form of recognition for my hard work in keeping the various floor areas in great functional conditions, and the recent increased sales amounts hit meant that my director knew somehow I was working hard to make this happen.
He spoke to me one day, 'Samson, you really showed your power during the past 3 months, didn't you? The company knows your capabilities and are now prepared to give you a pay rise and a higher position to sit in.'
All I can say to him was, 'Thank you boss, it is a great piece of news to me, but I do have a lot more to learn from everyone in the company, and I look forward to learning from you in the future.'
'Samson, you are a man who always tries to undermine your own good work. Nonetheless, congratulations!'
I took a week's leave to bring my family around the unique streets of Champs De-Elysees, in the country just south of England. A fantastic place I must say. The Eiffel Tower was the place for lovers, and it helped renew, refresh my love for my wife. The atmosphere was electric!
I knew my kids were afraid of the cold weather in Europe, so I specifically packed a lot of thermal clothing for them in the bags, but they were only interested in squeezing their Hello Kitty plush toys into the luggage, even though I told them I would buy it for them when they reached the destination.
Being a father who also thinks of the well-being of the mother in the family, I brought along socks for her to put on whenever she sleeps at night, for fear that she would catch a cold and end up not enjoying the trip herself.
We were really happy with our trip, and I am really thankful we had this break before we all go back to our daily lives as this holiday definitely bonded the family together!

January 2014 - The Start of a Busy Year!
1st January of every year meant that it is going to be a new year full of business opportunities ahead for me! I love meeting with my business partners, chatting with them, understanding their needs and wants, and being able to provide them with what they require would satisfy me the most.
Soon, I want to be a multi-millionaire! No! Not just that! A billionaire! Now that sounds more like it. So off I jet set myself, with a few good-looking suits, a trustworthy notebook with all the details inside, important basic stationary, a calculator to go along with it.
You need a good looking watch to go along with my suit, so I brought along my trusty Seiko men's watch, and 2 more others in my business bag, for variety's sake!
Commuting around Tokyo was a breeze, and their coffee is the best I must say. Before I meet my clients, I would definitely scoot around to drink a cup of coffee from their local stores to lift my spirits. Otherwise, I would be walking around like a zombie!
In this business, we all have to be positive, or at least, act positive. No matter if the deal is successful or it unfortunately falls through, we still have to look forward in life with gusto, and try our very best to keep moving forward! That way, we will always be able to motivate ourselves and grow to be even more successful in life!
Cheers!
